| Category 1 events | |
| All IGC category 1 events i.e. World and Continental championships are automatically included in the Ranking List as category 1 events. |
| Category 2 events |
| The results of other international competitions or national championships may also be included in the Ranking list under the following conditions. |
| They must be organised with the authorization of the relevant National Aero Club (NAC). |
| They must be approved by the IGC and pay the appropriate sanction fee. |
| In Nationals Championships, only the results of pilots holding a valid FAI Sporting Licence can be taken into account. |

All contests included in the IGC Ranking list must pay the appropriate sanction fees before the contest can be included into the system. |
Junior National Championships are included free of charge. |
Ranking list inclusion for Category 1 contests is included in the competition sanction fee. |
Sanction fee rates |
From January 2010 the competition sanction fee will be charged at the rate of four euro per pilot with a minimum sanction fee 100 euro. |
For multiple National Championships* entered by a National Aero Club (NAC), the sanction fee is four euro per entry with a maximum fee of 500 euro. |
For competitions with multiple classes held at the same location at the same time the sanction fee is four euro per entry with a maximum fee of 300 euro. |
Any NAC wishing to enter all it's competitions may submit a request to the Ranking system manager for consideration of an all inclusive sanction fee. |
Procedure for calculation of fees |
If the competition was entered into the Ranking List during the two previous years, the sanction fee will be charged on the number of competitors in the last competition in the series. If you expect the number of competitors in this years competition to change significantly from previous years and you wish this to be reflected in your sanction fee please e mail details to the Ranking List Manager. |
If the competition is the first in a series with no previous results included, the sanction fee will be based on an estimate of the number of entries indicated on the competition entry form. |
